Mrs. Geo. A. Austin will please accept our thanks for a bountiful supply of wedding cake on the occurrence of the marriage of her daughter, Ida.
A genuine "hop dance" was the way they celebrated the winding up of hop picking for the season at Geo. McAdams, last Wednesday night.
F. Bellenger, better known as Johnny Bellenger, bought the corner opposite the O’Neill House of Mr. Jas. O’Neill, the latter part of last week, and on Monday last the work of removing the old buildings, which are to be replaced by the building now occupied by Mr. Bellenger as a saloon, commenced. The change will probably be completed within the next few days, and will be a decided improvement to the place.
We note the death of Mrs. Hill, of Longwood, who expired suddenly, last Sabbath night. A large concourse of mourning friends followed her to her last resting place on Tuesday, in greenwood cemetery.
Tom Nichols, having been left out in the cold by the recent transfer of property on the "corner", now has his "barber stue" in the office of the O’Neill House, where it will remain until his new sop is fitted up.
