Last Saturday morning, after a brief illness, Mrs. Emil Haupt passed away to the land of unknown sorrow, at her home in the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis.. A dark gloom spread over the whole community when it was whispered from one to another that she was gone. She was of an affectionate disposition, bright and winning in her ways and always ranked as a woman of culture, refinement, sympathy, a kind neighbor, devoted mother and a true friend.
Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip White of our village and was born in Clark County, Wis. on March 28, 1881. On Oct. 1, 1902 she was united in marriage to Mr. Emil Haupt, their life was blessed with two children, Mamie and Harold, who, with her husband greatly mourn her loss.
Out of the family of eleven children she is the first one that died. Besides her husband and two children she leaves behind her, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip White and the following brothers and sisters: Will White of Spokane, Wash., Dave White of Everson, Mont., Frank White of Dodson, Mont., Mrs. Ida Harlow of Hannibal, Wis., Mrs. Unis Rogers of Beach, N.D., James White, Herbert White, Mrs. Alice Schwieso, Mrs. Nina Colby and Effie White of Loyal.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at one o'clock from the M. E. Church, with burial at the Loyal Cemetery.
