Mrs. Thomas J. (Rosemary) Barr, 28, of 7701 Utica Road, Pickett, Wisconsin, died
Saturday at 5 p.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
She was born August 7, 1947, in Marshfield, the daughter of Jerry and Anna Denk,
and was married to Thomas J. Barr in Idaho November 11, 1968.
Surviving are her husband; her parents in Greenwood; two sons, Todd J. 12, and
Jamie T. 10, at home; a daughter, Rosemary, who was born the day before her
mother’s death; two brothers, Romaine Denk of Milwaukee and Jerry Denk Jr.,
Chicago, Ill., and five sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Caroline) Annen, Crystal Lake,
Illinois, Mrs. Dennis (Mildred) Humke of Marshfield, Mrs. Eldon (Corrine)
Liebzeit of Green Bay, Mrs. Robert (Janice) Brom of Willard, and Mrs. James
(Alice) Funte, Greenwood.
Following cremation, interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clark County.
A memorial has bee established in the name, “Rosemary”. Konrad Funeral Home is
in charge of the private funeral.

Mary Mendalski, 81, died at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, Wednesday
afternoon, June 2, 1976. Funeral services were held Monday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m.
at St. Hedwig’s Chapel, with burial in the parish Cemetery

Alumni Gathers Graduate names from 1900 – 1976

Members of the Thorp Alumni Association spent Friday night, June 4, 1976,
gathering the pages of the 1976-77 TAA Directory, which contains the names,
addresses and other information on graduates of Thorp High School from the Class
of 1900 through 1976. The almost 200 pages, which comprise the directory were
spread out on tables in the Thorp City Hall. The TAA workers played a printer’s
version of “musical chairs” by walking around the tables and picking up the
pages in order. After the directories are bound this week, they will be ready
for distribution to TAA members.

Gary Wehlacz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wehlacz, graduated from District 1
Technical Institute, Eau Claire on May 20, 1976.
Gary received the Outstanding Achievement Award and a $25.00 War Bond with his
Associate Degree as Medical Lab Technician.

Victoria Sierocuk of Thorp was among the record number of graduates to receive
diplomas from Patricia Stevens Career College of Milwaukee in Commencement
Exercises held on Saturday, June 5, 1976, at Uihlein Hall of the Performing Arts
Center.
The Commencement Address was delivered by the Honorable Christ T. Seraphim, ,
Circuit Court Judge of Milwaukee County.
Miss Sierocuk is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sierocuk, Route 2, Thorp.
She graduated from a nine-month Fashion Merchandising Course.
