Georgia Blazer (1920 - 1971)
Owen – Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home
here, for Mrs. Richard (Georgia) Blazer, 51, of route 1, Owen, whose death from
an apparent heart attack was announced in Tuesday’s News Herald.
The Rev. Hilding Peterson, pastor of the United Church of Christ here, will
officiate and burial will be made in Riverside cemetery, Withee.
Visitations may be made at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home here.
The former Georgia Helene Duste was born Nov. 8, 1920, in San Francisco, Calif.,
and received her education there. She had served in the WAVES for a year during
World War II.
She was married Sept. 10, 1959, in Decorah, Iowa, to Richard Blazer, who
survives her. The couple came to Owen in 1959.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Miss Zina Duste, San
Francisco, Calif., three brothers, Raymond and Richard Duste, San Francisco,
Calif., and Leon Duste, Provo, Utah; and her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Duste,
San Francisco, Calif.
