------ Burhop, Diane (16 JUL 1966)
Miss Diane Burhop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Burhop, became the bride of
Robert Prock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Prock, all of the Owen area, on Saturday,
July 16. The double ring ceremony and nuptial mass took place at one o’clock at
St. Katherine’s Episcopal church at Owen with the Rev. Richard Hewetson
officiating.
Miss Sharon Heideman was the organist and Lawrence Le Fevre sang “Lord, Who at
Cana’s Wedding Feast”, “Our Father by Whose Name,” and “Be Thou With Them”.
For her wedding the bride wore a floor-length empire organza gown with a
sweeping detachable chapel train. The lantern sleeves were made of hand clipped
Chantilly lace and a wide border of lace accented the A-line skirt. A cascade of
Alencon lace petals embellished with seed pearls and aurora borealis, topped
with a silk organza rose, held her bouffant elbow length veil. She carried three
long stemmed pink roses with white ribbon streamers.
Honor attendants at the wedding were Miss Shirley Peterson of Withee and Rolland
Woodbeck of Owen and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Switzky of Madison, Mr. and Mrs.
William Pawlak of Eau Claire and Miss Jane Westendorf of Withee and Alan Burhop
of Owen completed the wedding party.
Ronald Stasek of Owen and Kenneth Thorson of Eau Claire seated the guests in the
church.
The bride’s attendants, all dressed alike, carried a single long stemmed pink
rose to complement their gowns of hawthorne green crepe with a lighter green
venetian lace accent at the empire waist lines. Their headpieces were designed
with an open pillbox. Encircled with venetian lace, and a bouffant veil.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Burhop chose an aqua 3-piece linen suit. A pink
princess style crepe knit was worn by the groom’s mother. Both had corsages of
pink and white carnations.
A five o’clock dinner was served at St. Katherine’s dining hall and at 9 o’clock
a reception was held at Prock’s 19th Hole.
After the new Mr. and Mrs. Prock return from a wedding trip to the Black Hills,
they will live at 2714 Blakely Ave., Eau Claire. The groom, a 1962 graduate of
the Owen-Withee high school, is employed at U.S. Rubber Co. His bride, a 1964
graduate of the same school, is a junior at Wisconsin state university, Eau
Claire.
